Yoga by the pool — 45-minute session. Opt-in; coffee available for non-participants. Keep noise low near the pool until 8:15 AM. Coordinated through Grazia.
8:15 AM
Freshen up, shower, pack day bags. Thomas & Lisa finalise luggage — bags travel in the car, not a separate taxi.
9:30 AM
Depart villa — all cars. Head north via SS71 to Arezzo, then follow signs toward Siena/Castellina in Chianti on the SP408/SR222 Chiantigiana.
~10:50 AM
Arrive Castellina in Chianti (~80 min). Park outside the walls — 2-minute walk to centro. No ZTL concerns for visitor parking areas.
11:00 AM
Via delle Volte — the medieval underground passageway running the full length of the town wall inside the ramparts. Free, 10 minutes, genuinely atmospheric. The original military passage is perfectly preserved.

Enoteca tasting — Enoteca Vino e Olio or Enoteca del Castello: 2–3 Chianti Classico DOCG wines, ~€10–15 per person. For a reserved sit-down for 14, call ahead: +39 0577 741110. Walk-up casual tasting also possible.

Depart Castellina → Panzano in Chianti (~22 km, ~25 min north on SR222). Views over the harvest vineyards the whole way.

Feast concludes. Thomas & Lisa farewell — the group says goodbye at the table, at the feast, in the best possible setting. They depart directly from Panzano to their onward travel.
3:00–3:30 PM
Macelleria Cecchini — the original butcher shop directly across the road. Buy finocchiona, lardo di Colonnata, cured meats, and wines. Whatever you carry home makes dinner at the casale that evening deliberate.
3:30 PM
Depart Panzano. Return via SR222 south (Chiantigiana) — one of the finest drives in Tuscany, especially in late afternoon September light.
~5:00 PM
Return to casale. Dinner this evening: light by design. Salads, whatever was bought at the macelleria, good bread and cheese — after Cecchini, simple is the right call.
